Kuma-sensei is a serious veterinarian whom Chihiro bumps into while looking for a clinic to take his kitten to. He allows Chihiro to move in in exchange for doing household chores and helping around the family clinic. Although he is constantly being pestered to get married, Kuma-sensei has neither the time nor the intention to do so.
